A group of friends sits at a restaurant, smiling and laughing as a server hands a plate with a burger and fries to a woman with curly hair. The atmosphere is warm and lively, and the table is set with drinks and other dishes.

How can you get involved?

To take part in the inaugural Aberdeenshire Restaurant Week, restaurants, cafes, or bars need to:

  1. Be based in Aberdeenshire.
  2. Have sit-in eating facilities.
  3. Offer to customers: a unique fixed price menu that is only available during Restaurant Week, such as £10, £15, or £25 or a fixed discount on the final bill; plus optional Tasting Menu or special event(s)/experience(s) that are not normally available.
  4. The Restaurant Week menu must be available throughout the whole week (subject to your opening days/times), however any special events or experiences are an added extra and can be limited to a particular night(s) depending on your venue.
  5. Have no restriction on the availability of the offer (unless it is for an experience in which case there may be restrictions).
  6. Although customers will be encouraged to pre-book (where this is possible), customers should be able to request the menu without pre-booking (unless you are fully booked or if it is for an experience).
  7. It must be an offer that is not normally available - remember we want customers to dine out when they may not typically. Think about what you can do that's different or special to promote your business and your food.

Aberdeenshire Loves Local Gift Card

Scotland Loves Local Aberdeenshire

We are joining up with the Aberdeenshire Loves Local Gift Card team to encourage people to think local first and will be running competitions for the public to win Aberdeenshire Gift Cards during Restaurant Week. We are also offering the first ten businesses who sign-up to accept the Gift Card at their premises, who are also participating in Restaurant Week, a £50 card to use as they wish, whether that's for your own in-house giveaway or perhaps a treat for a special staff member - this is a great opportunity to get involved and join almost 400 other businesses who already accept the card. With Christmas coming up this is the perfect time to register for the scheme so that your business can benefit from the extra spend generated locally by the cards.
